SMW is part of the Ofbusiness Group and manufactures TMT Bars under the brand Sangam Steel, having a capacity of 50,000 Metric Tonnes per month.
What you will do.
· Oversee plant and maintenance activities (production, planning, quality assurance & control), engineering activities on plant performance, and forecasts for future performances.
· Control of critical parameters like UPT, Load factor, Yield, HBC% and overall efficiency to ensure profitability.
· Planning and coordinating of material purchases to maintain adequate supply of material inventory to minimize downtime in the production process.
· Ensure timely dispatch of finished products with full compliance to all requirements.
· Maintain an adequate supply of material inventory to minimize downtime.
· Ensure workers and equipment achieve the maximum level of efficiency and productivity within the timeline. Also, encourage efficient utilization of time, equipment, and workforce.
· Oversee training and mentoring of workers in appropriate lean and quality standards. Set identifiable goals and objectives.
· Maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards; coordinate maintenance and repairs to ensure a safe working environment.
· Perform all maintenance related procedures independently with minimal support.
· Experienced in running steel/structural steel plant in the past.
What we are looking for.
10 - 15 years of post-qualification work experience.
Must be able to build, maintain and contribute to a team environment.
Strong technical expertise in running smooth operations of the plant.
