About the Business
Mayurank Foods is a Kolkata-based company which was established on 1st May 2005.
We are processors, packers and bulk suppliers of a wide range of products like spices
and condiments, dry fruits and nuts, pulses, rice, herbs and seasonings, food chemicals
and ingredients, cereals, flours, sugar, oil and other edible items.
We supply products to various chain stores, supermarkets and institutional
buyers along with some leading modern retailers.
We have our own brand under the name of MAYURANK.
Private labelling for various retail stores is our specialisation.
What you will do.
● Manage day-to-day plant operations and ensure achievement of production targets.
● Plan and monitor production schedules, manpower, raw materials, and resources.
● Ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, and food safety requirements.
● Lead and manage production, quality, maintenance, and other plant teams.
● Monitor plant productivity, yield, wastage, downtime, and operational costs.
● Coordinate with procurement and stores teams to ensure timely availability of raw
materials and packaging materials.
● Ensure proper preventive maintenance and smooth functioning of plant machinery.
● Drive initiatives for process improvement, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement.
● Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and housekeeping across the plant.
● Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and food safety requirements.
● Monitor inventory levels and minimize material wastage and losses.
● Identify operational issues and take corrective and preventive actions.
● Prepare and review MIS and plant performance reports for management.
● Handle manpower planning, training, discipline, and performance management.
● Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, auditors, and regulatory authorities as
required.
● Drive continuous improvement and implement best practices across plant operations.
What we are looking for.
● Graduate/Diploma/B.Tech in Food Technology, Mechanical, Production, or a relevant
field.
● Minimum 8+ years of experience in plant/manufacturing operations, preferably in the
food/FMCG industry.
● Strong experience in production planning, manpower management, quality,
maintenance, and plant operations.
● Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and statutory compliance.
● Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
● Ability to manage multiple functions and lead a large plant team.
● Strong communication and coordination skills
