About Samruddhi Organic farm

What you will do.

Job Summary:

The QC Field Associate is responsible for the on-site inspection and grading of pulses and grains (such as lentils, chickpeas, wheat, or rice). You will be the first line of defense in ensuring that only high-quality raw materials are procured and dispatched, minimizing wastage and ensuring food safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sampling: Collecting representative samples from heaps, bags, or truckloads using standard sampling tools (e.g., parkhi or probes).

  • Physical Analysis: Testing for moisture content using digital meters and checking for "Foreign Matter" (FM), damaged grains, weevilled grains, and shriveled seeds.

  • Grading: Classifying the produce based on color, size, and variety according to company or government (e.g., AGMARK) standards.

  • On-Field Documentation: Maintaining accurate logbooks and digital records of all inspections, including "Pass/Fail" reports for procurement teams.

  • Storage Monitoring: Inspecting warehouse conditions to ensure proper aeration and checking for signs of pest infestation or mold.

  • Vendor Coordination: Communicating quality deviations clearly to farmers, traders, or site managers.

What we are looking for.

Technical Skills & Requirements

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Agriculture, Food Science, or a related field is preferred (but relevant experience is often accepted).

  • Knowledge: Familiarity with different varieties of pulses/grains and common defects (e.g., infestation, discoloration).

  • Equipment: Ability to use moisture meters, weighing scales, and sieves.

  • Mobility: Must be willing to travel extensively to rural locations, mandis, and outdoor storage sites.

  • Physical Fitness: Ability to work in outdoor environments, often in dusty conditions or varying weather.
